Ali Davami
Hello there!
My name is Ali, and I am the chairman of The Blue Toes. My natural habitat is our Salsa Advanced class where I still accidentally step on and kick other people’s feet and on occasion inexplicably find myself out of sync with the count of the music; I wish I could say I wrote that so I’d put at ease the mind of our beginners, but sadly it’s true.
When I’m not busy adding to the blue toes at The Blue Toes, I’m most likely somewhere discussing the Lord of the Rings or sharing a laugh with members of our association who I genuinely adore, respect and admire.
While I am reachable at almost all times, the best times to receive an answer from me quickly are Tuesdays through Fridays between 17:30 and 21:30. The most convenient way of reaching me is at voorzitter@bluetoes.nl. Puns and Monty Python references are most welcome.
Raphael Rohr
Hello, my name is Raphael and this season, I am the secretary of The Blue Toes. My main courses are Ballroom/Latin Advanced 2 and Salsa Advanced but I am also helping out at Salsa Beginners on Tuesday and Ballroom/Latin Advanced 1 on Wednesday. Oh, the technique lessons are fun too (and for me, they fit perfectly on Tuesday between Advanced 2 and Salsa Beginners).

Hello, my name is Néré, and I am the treasurer of The Blue Toes. I am dancing Salsa Beginners on Tuesday and Ballroom/Latin Advanced 1 on Wednesday, and most of the time, you can also find me at the technique lessons. Because of my studies, my schedule can be pretty hectic, but I’m best reachable on Friday and the weekend. I typically strive to respond to all of your emails as soon as possible.
Michel Pluim
Yello, I am Michel Pluim and for the year 2023-2024 I am the Commissioner of Internal Affairs.
I am a first year student of Creative Media and Game Technologies (CMGT) here at Hanze.
You can find me during the Salsa Beginners lessons on Tuesday and during the Salsa Technique lessons when they are held. For any commission related questions you can reach me at intern@bluetoes.nl where I will try and answer them as soon as possible.
Because of my studies and other activities I do, my schedule is pretty hectic. As stated earlier, I try to respond to all emails as soon as possible, this is usually on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Denise Steegmüller
Hey everyone! My name is Denise and I am the Commissioner of External Affairs this year. Currently I am studying Medicine, in my last year, at the Rug but doing a part of my internship abroad. Hence my lack of presence at all classes at the moment. I have been with the Blue Toes for about four years now and have danced both Salsa and Ballroom and made it all the way through Advanced 2, I do plan on picking it back up once I am back in Groningen.
